We promote the interests of the non-religious at the University of Southampton.

Atheism is the absence of a belief in god. It seems like such a simple notion, but it's a powerful one, with the potential to change the way our species lives and interacts forever. Find out more.

We live in a world where atheists are seen as fringe elements of society, where religion and politics are fundamentally entwined and religious hatred breeds conflict and fear. In the so-called "developed world", the thoughts and voices of rational thinkers are disregarded by politicians who fear trampling on the feet of powerful religious leaders.

Our group exists not to simply deny the beliefs of others, but to challenge the dominance of superstition in society. We want to do our bit to uphold the rights of atheist students at the University of Southampton. Take a look at our principles.
